What we do
Every job is carried out by our own team, from the first coat to the final clean down.
Our specialism. Through-coloured silicone and monocouche render on houses, extensions and new builds — full elevations taken back, prepped, beaded and finished so the colour runs true and the detailing is sharp.
K Rend rendering
Insulate and re-clad in one job. A warmer, cheaper-to-heat home and a brand new rendered finish, with no loss of floor space and no disruption indoors.
External wall insulation
Skimming over old walls and artex, dot-and-dab boarding, full re-plasters, ceilings, patching and making good. Flat, polished, ready for the decorator.
Plastering & skimming
Cracked, blown, stained or patchy render put right — either repaired and re-coated, or stripped back and rebuilt where that's the better long-term answer.
Render repairs
Working with builders, developers and main contractors on plots, extensions and commercial units. Priced from drawings, programmed realistically, delivered on time.

Most of what we do is external rendering — through-coloured silicone and monocouche systems in K Rend, Weber, Johnstone's and EcoRend. It's the work we're best known for, and after 25 years it's where we're most at home.
A through-coloured render is only ever as good as what's underneath it and how it goes on. So we build it as a complete system: the right basecoat for the substrate, beads set true, mesh where it's needed, movement joints where they belong, and consistent gauging across an elevation so the colour stays even for years to come. We plan around the weather rather than working through it.
We're a Johnstone's Stormshield Approved Applier for external wall insulation — meaning our installation of their system has been assessed and approved by the manufacturer, not just that we buy the materials.
Every job welcome
Full house re-renders, extensions and new builds are what we're best known for — a whole elevation completed in one visit, by one team, with a consistent finish from eaves to DPC. After 25 years, it's work we're very comfortable with.
Smaller jobs are every bit as welcome. A ceiling that needs replacing, a patch of render that's blown after a hard winter, a room to be skimmed before the decorator arrives — these are the jobs that bring people back to us, and we're always glad to come and look. Danny and his lads really pulled this 1 out of the bag for us. The customer had a fixed idea on how certain things had to look. This was by no means a straight forward job. Really high ceilings, insulation boards to all ceilings. LED lighting which went in some Ceilings. Then the Render outside. Super happy with how this turned out. We used a product that Danny hadn't used before, as per clients instructions. The finish speaks for itself. We use D&L Plastering on all our projects, have done for 10 Years or so. Couldn't recommend them enough.
I was recommended D&L Plastering by the roofer I use. When I met Danny we went through was I wanted and expected, he also gave me some jobs he had previously done so i could see his work. Originally i hired Danny to carry out jist the rendering as I already had someone lined up to Do the internal work. Once the render was completed I was more than happy with the finish and asked them to quote for the inside work. They did and I'm glad I ended up using the for the whole job now. Both houses were done to a perfect finish. Will certainly be calling them again for future projects.
We have used Danny and his team For many years now and all different kinds of projects. This job specifically was a large single story extension in Heaton moor. There was a few changes with different spec of boards etc which want a problem. Everything was done to a very high standard from start to finish and the job was left spotless once the team had finished. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I would just like to say that the work carried out by D & L plastering was of a very high standard indeed. From the initial quote, which clearly explained the cost, and work that was involved in plastering my entire home. The entire job was completed in a very professional manner, and I would not hesitate to recommend D & L plastering to my friends and family in the future.
Danny was taken on by ourselves to re-render our house, and to do some inside plastering. Danny was very good at keeping in contact and replying promptly to queries. He was able to put us in touch with other tradesmen, which formed part of the project to get the outside of our old house looking smart again. He was able to advise on different finishes of render, and he and the team took on what proved to be a tricky and challenging job, with a very awkwardly positioned conservatory. We are very pleased with the result and the attention to detail which Danny and the team undertook.
