About D&L

We're a Stockport-based plastering and rendering firm working across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the wider North West. Most of what we do is external render — K Rend and Weber silicone systems on houses, extensions and new builds — along with all the internal plastering that goes with it.

Between us we have over 25 years on the trowel, and in that time we've built the business almost entirely on recommendation and repeat custom. When you call, you'll speak to one of the people who will actually be carrying out your work, so nothing is lost between the person who prices the job and the person who does it.

Our approach

Rendering is one of the few trades where the finished work is on permanent display from the road. You'll look at it every day for the next twenty years, so we take care over the parts nobody photographs: the beads, the mesh, the movement joints, the drip details, the section behind the downpipe.

We'll always explain what a job needs and why, and give you an itemised written price so you can see exactly what's included. If anything about the quote isn't clear, just ask — we're happy to talk it through for as long as you need.

Every job, whatever the size

Larger projects are what we're best known for: full house re-renders, extensions, new build plots and commercial units. They're the jobs that show what a team can do across a whole elevation, and they make up a good part of our year.

Smaller work is just as welcome. A ceiling to replace before the decorator comes in, a patch of render that's blown after a hard winter, a single room to be skimmed — these jobs matter just as much to the person ringing, and plenty of our long-standing customers first came to us with one. The products we use

We work mainly in K Rend, Weber (Saint-Gobain) and Johnstone's Stormshield render and insulation systems. All three are properly tested, manufacturer-backed systems with a full colour and texture range, each backed by a clear manufacturer's specification. We install the complete system rather than just the branded top coat, because that's the only way the manufacturer's guarantee holds good.
