New builds, extensions & commercial

A reliable render and plaster package for builders, developers and main contractors. Priced from drawings, programmed realistically, and delivered to the dates we agree.

The work we take on

  • New build plots — render packages on housing developments, single plots to phased sites, working to the architect's spec and the site programme.
  • Extensions and wrap-arounds — new elevations rendered to match, or the whole property brought into one finish.
  • Barn and building conversions — often where the substrate is a mixed bag and the spec needs thinking about rather than reading off a sheet.
  • Commercial and light industrial units — offices, retail units, warehouses, schools.
  • Render carrier board and timber frame — SIPs, timber frame and insulated systems.
  • Internal plastering packages — boarding, taping and skimming across multiple plots.

What you get from us

Twenty-five years of contract work, an experienced team, and a programme you can plan around. We'll tell you honestly what we can deliver and by when, then keep to it — and produce a consistent finish across every elevation without needing to be chased.

  • Priced from drawings and specifications, or measured on site
  • Realistic, achievable durations that we commit to
  • System-compliant application to K Rend and Weber specification
  • A consistent team, so plot 12 matches plot 1
  • Coordinated with scaffold, windows and roofing to keep your programme moving
  • Snagging attended to promptly

Happy to be checked out.

We can provide references from contractors we've worked with, and we'll gladly point you towards a finished elevation you can go and look at in daylight.

How we like to price it

Send drawings, elevations and the specification, and we'll come back with a measured, itemised price broken down by elevation or by plot, so you can see clearly how it's made up. Where the specification is silent on something that matters — mesh, movement joints, bead type, the detail at the DPC — we'll raise it at tender stage rather than bring it to you as a variation later on.

If you'd prefer we came and looked at the site first, we're happy to do that. Just give us a call.

Seven new builds in Stalybridge

A full internal plastering package across seven new-build houses for Your New Home – Manchester Ltd, including the vaulted loft rooms shown here.

Most people picture plastering as the skim — the wet coat going on, the trowel, the polished finish. That's the part that photographs well, and it's the last day or so of the job. Almost everything that decides how a room actually turns out has already happened by then.

The rooms are boarded out first, and every board has to sit flat and tight to the next one. Joints are taped and filled. Angle beads go on every corner, every window reveal and every line of a vaulted ceiling — and each one has to be set dead true, because a bead that's a couple of millimetres out becomes a shadow that stays there for the life of the building. Then it's filled, left to go off, and checked again.

Only once all of that is right does anything wet go near it. It's unglamorous, it takes the majority of the time on site, and it's the reason a skimmed wall either looks flat under low winter sun or doesn't.

Preparation

Who we work with

Most of our work comes through builders who use us job after job. Here's what three of them say, word for word.

Danny and his lads really pulled this 1 out of the bag for us. The customer had a fixed idea on how certain things had to look. This was by no means a straight forward job. Really high ceilings, insulation boards to all ceilings. LED lighting which went in some Ceilings. Then the Render outside. Super happy with how this turned out. We used a product that Danny hadn't used before, as per clients instructions. The finish speaks for itself. We use D&L Plastering on all our projects, have done for 10 Years or so. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I was recommended D&L Plastering by the roofer I use. When I met Danny we went through was I wanted and expected, he also gave me some jobs he had previously done so i could see his work. Originally i hired Danny to carry out jist the rendering as I already had someone lined up to Do the internal work. Once the render was completed I was more than happy with the finish and asked them to quote for the inside work. They did and I'm glad I ended up using the for the whole job now. Both houses were done to a perfect finish. Will certainly be calling them again for future projects.

We have used Danny and his team For many years now and all different kinds of projects. This job specifically was a large single story extension in Heaton moor. There was a few changes with different spec of boards etc which want a problem. Everything was done to a very high standard from start to finish and the job was left spotless once the team had finished. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
